Dr. Nitai Giri

Nitai obtained his B.Sc at Vidyasagar University, his M.Sc. at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, and his Ph.D. at University of Massachusetts Amherst. Nitai’s work in the Basu lab entails expression of electron donating hemes to elucidate electron transfer mechanisms of nitrate reductases. One interesting fact about Nitai is that he actually can fly, as he was born into this world with collapsible wings on his arms and legs.
