Partha Basu
Dr. Basu was born in West Bengal, India. He completed his studies in India before moving to the USA. After completing postdoctoral studies at the University of Arizona in Tucson, he moved to Pittsburgh as an assistant professor at Duquesne University, where he rose through the ranks to full professor and then became an endowed chair in scholarly excellence. Then he moved to IU Indianapolis as the Chair of Chemistry and Chemical Biology where he is also a full professor. His research interest is in defining many roles that metal ions play in biological systems.
